Aged in 10 gallon, virgin, American white oak barrels for a minimum of two years, it stands apart from traditional single malts through the use of new barrels. This allows the whiskey to age more like a bourbon, imparting essences of caramel, honey, vanilla, and brown sugar that complement the malt flavor. This whiskey sips very well neat and it also makes a great cocktail.
